You Are Totally Like Your Mom
You and your mom are practically clones.
You think alike, and you even seem to read each other's minds.
You're definitely you're mother's child... and that's just fine with you.

They had Chess, Bingo, Monopoly and Sorry...they were neat. There are such neat sculptures and statues all over Philadelphia!
We came across Love park. It was so neat to see something so familiar, yet, something I had never seen in person...
And just to prove that I was actually on this vacation.... a nice woman volunteered to take our family picture, and in return I took theirs...
Finally, we reached our destination....and Matthew took pictures of every guitar and some drums and other equipment displayed there...and got himself a jacket. I got a shot glass to add to my collection...I have them from the Hard Rock in Honolulu, Boston, Chicago, and Dallas and now....Philadelphia. I collect them and people collect them for me....
He was in his glory...all that Rock and Roll around us....I don't think he even knows what he had to eat!
Monday was back to Franklin Institute where we had tickets to see the King Tut exhibit....no pictures from that as they are not allowed...
It was neat...and in the end kind of disappointing since there was no King Tut in the end, just a hologram of his image....bummer...especially since it cost a few $$$ to attend...you think you would get more for your money... like a real mummy!
But Matthew has some fun trying on all the masks.... ...and hats.... ...and ended up deciding on this one. He says he is going to wear it to school next week but I don't think he really will!
Then around the institute some more....a skeleton riding a tread mill!
And, of course, Ben!
We also saw the Liberty Bell and can I just say this little vent....some people are so damn ignorant...it makes me furious some times...but finally after a family of what seemed like 100 people finished taking pictures of all of them in front, the rest of the 100 or so people waiting were able to take some pictures...we didn't get any of us in front of it, but I really wanted to see the bell and here it is....
This is the old Congress Hall, again very neat...
Then we walked what must have been several miles to the Edgar Allen Poe home, where I did not get any pictures....I was exhausted from the "short walk" the park ranger said it would be.

Yes, that is right....more than 2 hours late. Luckily they put us on an earlier train...
And Matthew was in his glory in the cafe car with his internet and some snacks....leave it to him to find a way to get online.
Four hours later we made it to our hotel.....whew!!! This is the view from our balcony....there are fountains all over Philadelphia....
We were 23 stories up and it was beautiful the day we got there. And we were so glad to finally be at the hotel and in Philly to start our vacation.

OK, so I was tagged by Cathy for Blog Challenge Sunday--Show us your fridge. Now, I will admit that before I took these I did some cleaning and brought my calendar up to date (it was still on July!) but this is essentially my fridge. I keep pictures of my kids, my hubby, my nieces and nephews, my parents: any pictures that I like that I want to see all the time. I have report cards, appointment cards, my shopping list, my magnetic bag clips, my coupons for Joanne's and Pfaltzgraff, and there is a hug wipe-off calendar that I use to keep all the appointments and such straight! Now that I look at it...I need to scale down all those junkie magnets and the papers. It should be neat, a reflection of the rest of my home, not a mess like it looks like!!!
